Mrinz Ellis

Writer is an 18 year-old probably maturing through her way of thinking and expressing through poems and sometimes songs. She tends to hide herself from the world except for the one she calls hers. Her own little world that she lives within, where her intention is to give light to a concept of intentions and even make it a light for others. A light for those lying on the tip of iceberg waiting for it to melt, which might never happen, and nor having courage to climb down, maybe with the intention of slowly dying and freezing to death…Because even she was once one of them. She is a first year engineering college student in her hometown i.e. Jalandhar, Punjab, India. Her skills lie in writing poetry, mainly of genre ‘Lyric poetry’ which is also her area of major interest and expertise. She likes to go with her pen name Ms. Mrinz Ellis. She has had the pleasure of getting her poems published with wnigless dreamers, writer’s pocket, poetschoice, etc.

I’m not cute or built to suit a fashion model’s size    But when I start to tell them, They think I’m telling lies. I say, It’s in the reach of my arms, The span of my hips,    The stride of my step,    The curl of my lips.    I’m a woman Phenomenally. Phenomenal woman,    That’s me.
