Rachel Hoffman left academia soon after her PhD (UCLA art history) to move to Italy, make wine, milk cows, and write. The past five years, her work has appeared in more than a dozen such literary journals as Nunum, Whitefish, Cold Mountain Review, and Hot Metal Bridge. Small presses have published her novels: “Packer and Jack” (Electio, 2014) and “Saltine” (Otis Books, 2021). Recipient of Fulbright, Social Justice, Literary Arts, and other awards, Rachel currently lives near Portland Oregon.
