Sean Tapley proudly hails from the traditional and unceded territories of Wolastoqiyik and Mi’kma’ki (colonial known as New Brunswick, Canada).

His upbringing was a juxtaposition between an apartment on Fredericton’s north side and the beautiful forest of Yoho Lake, New Brunswick.

With a lifelong dedication to storytelling and poetry, Sean’s creative journey began amidst these diverse landscapes, instilling in him a keen eye for detail and the ability to craft narratives that ignite the imagination.

Drawing inspiration from the raw beauty of nature, the complexities of a challenging childhood, and the rich tapestry of his culturally diverse social circle, Sean’s writing intertwines social issues, the profound connection with nature, moments of introspection, and a dash of humor to keep things spicy. He fervently believes in the transformative power of words to stir emotions, provoke thoughts, and initiate deep conversations.

When not lost in the world of words, Sean finds solace in long walks through the woods with his loyal companion, Brutus, indulging in beach naps, foraging, travelling, experimenting in the kitchen, and spending time with his wife and daughter.
On the flip side, he also has interests in a wide range of musical genres, sports, history, and culinary arts.

Don’t walk by my laundry stand, I’ve just hung a thread. Don’t send me a text – I’ll climb  between the lines to look for you. Don’t use that still eye on me, I’ll lose my rest, this incubation. Don’t make shadows play trickery in the space I’ve made

Phenomentally Hollow By Faith.Marie 62 lines, I was born in 1962 after Maya Angelou’s Phenomenal Woman Pretty women wonder where my secret lies. I’m not cute or built to suit a fashion model’s size    But when I start to tell them, They think I’m telling lies. I say, It’s in the reach of my arms, The span of my hips,    The stride of my step,    The curl of my lips.    I’m a woman Phenomenally. Phenomenal woman,    That’s me.
