Diane Catherine Nelson was born in Maryland, raised in Colorado and currently splits her time between the rural Pacific Northwest and the suburbs of the Midwest. As a young girl, Diane woke to a “lady in blue” (aka a ghost) watching her sleep in the attic of her grandparents’ New England home. Haunted for decades by this incident, Diane concocted and wrote about a fictional character named Hepzibeth for her novel, Lady in Blue, A Ghostly Tale. She is also a poet whose work has been featured in various anthologies, including Figments of the Heart, and Inheritance. Diane earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Regis University in Denver, Colorado. Over the years, she has worked as an environmental chemist, partnered with her husband and ran a successful construction company, and raised three children. Being an empty nester has made way for her latest endeavor, putting her stories into print and becoming an author. When Diane is not writing, she is loving life and traveling the world.
