My Friend George

“My Friend George” is a tale of two young boys in 18th Century New York City who interact like good friends in any era. The story is rich in details that evoke a specific time and place, but gradually, unspoken truths rise to the surface. By the end, it is clear that much of the “conventional wisdom” about the early days of the United States is not complete, and that underlying attitudes about race and class have been with us for a long time.
