Mal Virich is a fourth-year undergraduate student in English (creative writing), Spanish, and Chicana/o and Latina/o studies. They are queer, non-binary, and autistic, and much of their writing centers on the complexity of this experience. Their first professional publication was in THE FEAST by The Word’s Faire, July 2024. They have been a reader for The Madison Review since Fall 2023, and they were also a reader for the Wisconsin Poetry Series in Fall 2022. Outside of writing, they can be found baking, drawing, playing games, studying, or working their on-campus job as a peer advisor.
